Black Forest Medical

Black Forest Medical Group is a family-owned neurosurgery company headquartered in Freiburg, Germany, with a US subsidiary in Cape Coral. Founded in 1995, it has focused for three decades on cranial stabilization and brain retraction, helping teams position the patient's head safely during neurosurgery.

Its DORO product line, marketed worldwide since 1998, covers headrest systems for standard and intraoperative imaging environments (CT, X-ray, angiography and MRI), non-invasive horseshoe headrests and brain retractor systems. DORO systems share common interfaces, so components can be mixed and matched; they are manufactured at the German headquarters and at selected partners in Switzerland and the USA.
