Portable, battery-powered 8 W 810 nm diode laser for ophthalmology, with dedicated functions for µCPC glaucoma therapy and TCL-DCR.
FOX IV 810 is a 1.53 kg diode laser in a metal housing, supplied with its accessories in a carrying case and operated from battery or mains. A large colour touch display shows the key parameters in the central field of view, with application-specific colour schemes. With 8 W it also has the power to open bony structures in transcanalicular dacryocystorhinostomy (TCL-DCR).
For micropulse cyclophotocoagulation (µCPC) it offers energy and time counters, voice output every 10 s or 10 J and a metronome signal every 1 s or 1 J, and output can be limited to 3 W for glaucoma and retinal treatments. The geometry of the direction-independent µCPC probe tip is protected by patents in Germany, Europe and the USA.
