The ATMOS i View is an LED ENT microscope that combines high-resolution optics, an integrated light source and HD camera technology in one head. The i View 21 and i View 31 are designed for ENT practices and clinics that want a quiet, cable-free microscope for daily examination and documentation. This overview explains what the system includes, what to check on a demonstration and where it fits in an ENT workstation.
ATMOS i View 21 and i View 31: the core design
The ATMOS i View microscope puts the LED light source inside the microscope head. As a result there are no external light units and no fibre-optic light cables to route, clean or replace. Because there is no active cooling either, the microscope runs without fan noise, which matters during audiometric and voice-related work in the same room.
The manufacturer lists an illuminance of 120 klx at f = 200 mm, a colour temperature of 5000 K and a stereo base of 24 mm. A colour temperature near daylight is useful for judging the colour of the tympanic membrane and mucosa, and a large stereo base supports spatial perception during work.
H.A.S.I. filter and depth of field
The H.A.S.I. filter enhances the contrast of mucosal vessels, which helps the examiner see vascular patterns more clearly. It is an optical tool for visualisation; interpretation always remains with the clinician.
The microscope also uses a patented doubling of depth of field. In practice, a deeper in-focus zone means fewer refocusing movements when working in the ear canal and nasal cavity, where depth changes quickly. Ask for a live demonstration on a model or real examination so your team can judge this with their own eyes.
HD camera and practice software integration
HD camera technology allows images and video to be documented and shown to the patient on a monitor. The microscope integrates with practice software via GDT, DICOM and HL7, which helps connect findings to the electronic patient record rather than keeping images on a separate drive.
Integration is only valuable if it works in your IT environment. Before ordering, agree with your IT team which practice system will be used, who configures the interface and how images are archived and backed up.
Where the i View fits in an ENT clinic
The i View suits ENT examinations in practices, outpatient clinics and hospital ENT departments, particularly where a compact, quiet and easy-to-clean microscope is needed. It pairs naturally with an ENT treatment unit, such as the ATMOS C 21 / C 31 Economy, which provides suction, spray and irrigation at the same station.
For middle ear surgery, a dedicated microscope is available; compare it in our article on the i View PRO for ear surgery. For a general look at the category, read the ENT microscope guide. You can also see the ATMOS i View 21 / 31 product page and the ATMOS brand page.
What to check before you buy an LED ENT microscope
Compare optics on a real patient or model in your own room lighting. Check the available stand or mounting configuration for your space, the camera output and how it connects to your monitor, and the cleaning procedure for the head and handles. Ask what service is available locally and how spare parts are handled.
Confirm that the device is registered for use in the UAE and that your facility licensing body has no extra conditions. Pricing depends on configuration, so request a written specification; see also the ENT microscope price guide.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between the ATMOS i View 21 and 31?
They are offered as one product family, i View 21 / i View 31. Ask Beckfinity for the current configuration options for each variant, as they depend on the version you order.
Does the microscope need fibre-optic light cables?
No. The LED light source is built into the microscope head, so external light cables are not needed.
Is the microscope noisy?
It has no active cooling, so it runs without fan noise.
Can images go to the patient record?
The microscope integrates with practice software via GDT, DICOM and HL7. Confirm with your IT team that your system supports one of these.
