SIMEON Medical GmbH & Co. KG: Company Profile and Product Ranges

Updated 14 October 2026 · 4 min read

SIMEON Medical is a German manufacturer of surgical and examination lights, ceiling supply units and matching accessories, based in Tuttlingen. For buyers researching the brand, this article summarises who the company is, how its HighLine, BusinessLine and examination light ranges are organised, and which accessories complete a system, using the manufacturer's own product information.

The company: SIMEON Medical in Tuttlingen, Germany

SIMEON Medical, legally S.I.M.E.O.N. Medical GmbH & Co. KG, was founded in 2000 in Tuttlingen, Germany, a town long associated with surgical instrument manufacturing. The company supplies surgical and examination lights, ceiling supply units and accessories. After years of OEM development it launched its own HighLine surgical light in 2009.

All products are manufactured in Germany. The company has around 60 employees at locations in Germany, Malaysia and the USA and is represented through sales and service partners in more than 90 countries. In the UAE, Beckfinity distributes SIMEON lights as part of its portfolio of manufacturers.

When researching the brand, look at the technical documentation rather than only the brochure: ask for the data sheets of the specific model, the declaration of conformity and the list of service partners in your region. A company with its own development and production in Germany should be able to supply all three without difficulty.

HighLine: the surgical light flagship range

The HighLine Sim.LED 8000 is built for demanding operating rooms. It combines patented reflector technology with sensor-based shadow reduction and strong depth illumination. Data sheet values include 160,000 lx at 1 m, Ra 98, a light field of 170 to 320 mm, more than 60,000 hours of LED lifetime, up to 99 my.LED user profiles and a dimmable endoscopy light. It has an IP54 aluminium and glass housing with Anti.BAC coating and received a Red Dot Award in 2025.

The HighLine Sim.LED 5000 uses the RSRS reflector shadow resolution system and sun.LED technology for constant colour rendering at every colour temperature, in a triangle-shaped design with multicolour or single-colour LEDs. Both lights are camera-ready for Sim.CAM and can carry Sim.SCREEN monitor holders.

BusinessLine: combinable models for different rooms

The BusinessLine Sim.LED 700/500/450 series offers three freely combinable heads, the compact Sim.LED 450, the versatile Sim.LED 500 and the powerful Sim.LED 700, each in multicolour (MC) or single-colour (SC) versions. The 700 and 500 give 160,000 lx at 1 m and the 450 gives 140,000 lx, with Ra 96 and more than 60,000 hours of LED lifetime.

BusinessLine shares RSRS, sun.LED, my.GRIP and my.LED presets, the Anti.BAC coating and camera expandability with HighLine, so a hospital can mix heads in a double-dome set-up. For configuration choices, see our article on double dome surgical lights.

Examination lights and compact lights

For consulting rooms and minor procedures SIMEON offers the Sim.LED 4500, 3500+, 350, 3000 and 250. They share patented reflector technology and the Anti.BAC coating, and are generally available as ceiling, wall or mobile versions. The Sim.LED 350, for example, has three reflectors in a triangle, 60,000 lx at 1 m and 4,500 K.

Choosing among them is covered in our examination light guide; the Sim.LED 4500 is described by SIMEON as suitable for ICU, emergency and plastic surgery.

Suspension, supply units, cameras and how to buy

SIMEON also supplies Sim.FLEX suspension arms, with up to four arms on one central axis and arm lengths up to 2,000 mm, Sim.CARRY ceiling supply units, mobile stands with optional battery backup, and Sim.CAM cameras and Sim.SCREEN monitor holders. The full range is on the SIMEON brand page.

To request data sheets, a demonstration or a quotation for SIMEON lights, contact Beckfinity's specialists, who can match models to your rooms and confirm registration status in the UAE.

Camera options are worth a closer look. The Sim.CAM 4K Wireless offers 3840 x 2160 resolution with 20x optical zoom and 12x digital zoom, while the Sim.CAM HD and HD Wireless models offer 1920 x 1080 with 10x or 30x optical zoom. Cameras can be integrated into the light head or mounted on a separate arm, and exchanged between lights and operating rooms without tools. Sim.SCREEN holds commercially available monitors up to 32 inches as a single or double holder.
