MRI Injector Price: Options That Change the Quote

Updated 14 October 2026 · 4 min read

The mri injector price you are quoted depends far less on the headline model than on how the system is configured, what disposables it uses and how it is supported over its life. This guide explains which options move the price of an MR injector for UAE hospitals and imaging centres, how to compare quotations fairly and which questions to put to a supplier. We do not publish list prices here, because a sound quote is always built around your scanner and workload.

Why a single MR injector price rarely exists

When a buyer asks for the mr injector price, the number depends on the configuration: two or three media connections, how the injector is powered, which scanner it is matched to, accessories and the commercial terms around consumables. Two quotations with the same model name can therefore differ in scope.

For this reason the most useful approach is to define the clinical need first (single-site MRI, MRI plus PET-MRI, contrast-enhanced mammography) and then request a quotation for the model that covers it, listing everything included.

Two media or three: Max 2M versus Max 3

The ulrich medical Max 2M has one contrast connection and one saline connection and is positioned by the manufacturer as a cost-efficient choice even for sites with lower patient throughput. The Max 3 has two contrast connections and one saline connection, with the CM-Loop function that switches automatically to a second container of the same contrast medium, and optional CM-Select for changing to a different medium without changing the cassette.

In practice the extra connection is worth paying for where several patients a day are scanned and a container may empty during an examination list, or where two different contrast agents are in regular use. A site with a modest list and a single agent may not need it.

Cordless design, cassette and MRI injector sets

Both models are cordless: they run on a battery and communicate with the control terminal by Wi-Fi, so there are no cables running across the scanner room floor. The disposable element is the 24-hour Easy-Click-Cassette, inserted once a day and usable for any number of injections in that period, with an RFID chip that blocks reuse after 24 hours. Between patients only the patient tubing is changed.

When you compare quotations, treat the mri injector sets (cassette plus patient tubing) as a running cost. An mri injector kit that looks inexpensive per unit may cost more over a year if it must be replaced after every patient. Because the cassette is made for 24-hour use, calculate cost per patient from your daily volume rather than from the unit price alone. Our guide to CT injector consumables shows the same calculation for CT.

What to put in the quotation request

A clear request makes quotations comparable. Include your scanner make and field strength, number of patients per day, whether PET-MRI or mammography is planned and the contrast agents used. Ask each supplier to list what is included.

Also ask about the other cost lines: installation, staff training, warranty, preventive maintenance and spare parts, and how soon service engineers can attend in the UAE. Our service and maintenance guide explains what a sound agreement covers, and the overall buying guide gives a wider checklist.

  • Model and number of media connections
  • Cassette and patient tubing: included quantity and replacement terms
  • Installation, commissioning and user training
  • Warranty period and service response
  • Registration and documentation for your facility

Request a configured quote

Beckfinity can prepare a configured proposal for Max 2M or Max 3 based on your MRI suite and workload. Contact our specialists to request a quote or arrange a demonstration; please also confirm current registration and import requirements for your emirate with the relevant authority.

Frequently asked questions

What is the typical MRI injector price in the UAE?

It varies with the model, the configuration and the commercial terms, so we do not quote a typical figure. Ask for an itemised proposal that lists the injector, cassettes, tubing, installation, training and service.

Does a cordless MRI injector cost more than a cabled one?

That depends on the supplier and the specification, and we cannot generalise. Compare the whole package, including cable-related room works and the time saved in positioning.

What is in an MRI injector kit or set?

For Max 2M and Max 3 the main disposable is the 24-hour Easy-Click-Cassette, used with patient tubing that is changed for each patient. Confirm the exact contents with the supplier.

Can I use ordinary syringes with Max 3?

Max 3 injects directly from original contrast and saline containers through its cassette, so a separate mri injector syringe is not part of its normal workflow.
