Perlove PLX C22: Choosing the 9 or 12 Inch Flat Panel

Updated 14 October 2026 · 3 min read

The Perlove PLX C22 is the manufacturer's current integrated mobile C-arm, offered with a 9 or 12 inch flat panel detector. For most buyers the central decision is the detector size, followed by the panel type and software. This overview covers what the PLX C22 includes, how to think about 9 inch versus 12 inch and what to ask a supplier.

What the Perlove PLX C22 includes

PLX C22 combines a high-heat-capacity X-ray tube with a dual micro-focus design, a large C-opening and a large HD touchscreen. The generator is 5 kW at 110 kHz with focal spots of 0.3 and 0.6 mm, and the tube has smart focus switching.

The gantry glides and rotates smoothly and holds its position at any angle. Bilateral laser positioning speeds up set-up in orthopaedic and general surgery. The manufacturer also lists software for needle guidance, long-bone stitching and metal artifact suppression, and notes that the system can be connected to a surgical robot. See the PLX C22 product page for the current description.

9 inch vs 12 inch C-arm: which detector to choose

The detector size sets the field of view. A 9 inch panel suits extremities, hand and foot, paediatric work and focused orthopaedic tasks, and it is usually lighter and easier to place. A 12 inch panel gives a larger field that helps in spine, pelvis, hip and wider anatomy.

Think of your case list in percentages. If most cases are limb trauma, 9 inch may be enough; if you do a lot of spine or pelvic work, 12 inch reduces repositioning. Where large fields dominate, also look at the 30 x 30 cm PLX C2119. For the broader logic, see how to choose a mobile C-arm.

Perlove flat panel C-arm: SCI or IGZO panels

The C22 lists both SCI and IGZO flat panel options. Panel technology influences image detail and detective quantum efficiency, so ask for sample images and dose-per-image data on comparable anatomy rather than choosing from a brochure.

Remember that detector choice is only one part of image quality. Tube output, processing and operator technique all matter, and a demonstration on your typical cases is the best test. Our overview of flat panel C-arms discusses the technology in more detail.

Software, robot connection and workflow

Needle guidance is relevant for pain and biopsy procedures, long-bone stitching for deformity correction and nailing, and metal artifact suppression for implants. Ask for a demonstration of each function the clinical team plans to use, and confirm which are standard and which are optional.

The ability to connect to a surgical robot is stated by the manufacturer; confirm with the supplier which robots and interfaces are supported and what integration work is needed. Review PACS and DICOM export with your IT team before purchase.

Questions to ask before ordering

Request a written configuration: detector size and type, tube, software options, workstation and accessories. Agree on acceptance tests, operator training and maintenance. Beckfinity can quote the C22 together with installation and maintenance in the UAE.

Confirm current UAE registration and licensing requirements for X-ray equipment with the relevant authority. For a tailored comparison of the 9 and 12 inch options, ask Beckfinity's specialists for a consultation.
