BOWA-electronic GmbH & Co. KG, trading as BOWA MEDICAL, is based in Gomaringen, Germany, and specialises in energy-based surgery. The company supplies complete high-frequency (HF) surgery systems together with complementary instruments and accessories.

The portfolio covers the ARC family of electrosurgical generators, the ARC PLUS argon unit, the RFID-based COMFORT instrument system, bipolar and vessel-sealing instruments such as ERGOact, ERGOseal and BiZZER, the LOTUS torsional ultrasonic scalpel, the SHE SHA smoke evacuation system and gynaecological morcellation products.

LOTUS is designed and manufactured by BOWA MEDICAL UK in Devon, a BOWA subsidiary since 2016. Users are supported by technical service and the BOWA Academy training programme.
